Welcome to Cambridge University Consulting Society!

We serve over 3,000 undergraduate and postgraduate student members, facilitating skill development, profile-building, networking opportunities and providing unique exposure to the consulting industry via a vast portfolio of events and projects. As an organisation that prioritises your growth, the CUCS membership - and the access to all of our events and resources that come with it - is completely free!

This year, we’re focused on being a central hub for all things consulting. This means engaging with the key institutions that define the exciting Cambridge ecosystem - while creating a truly global network of partners including consultancy firms, startups, student societies and universities. We truly hope that by doing so, we can play a key role in realising your professional aspirations and holistic growth, providing you international exposure early on in your journey and preparing you for what it takes to break into the industry.

 Our Goal

We are the only student society for aspiring business consultants at the University of Cambridge. CUCS is run by and for its student members in a constructive environment aimed to fully equip them with the skills needed for their consulting careers. This is achieved through case-practice workshops and competitions run by professional consultants.

In collaboration with Cambridge Consulting Network and 180 Degrees Consulting we offer students hands-on experience of management consulting. We pair talented students up with organisations to solve a real business problem, giving you the chance to make a real impact on a real organisation, and gain international exposure. In the past, students on CCN and 180 Degree projects have helped start-ups get off the ground, worked with a private equity firm to set up an office in Indonesia, and partnered with social enterprises to maximise their impact. Whether you’ve already got consulting, business or leadership experience, or if you’re a consulting beginner, CUCS have a program suitable for you.

We aim to:

Educate members about consulting and different types of consulting they should consider; provided by evening lecture sessions on internal, external, strategy, operations, financial, and environmental consultancy.

Help our members with their interview preparation: provided by intensive case study practice sessions with committee members and recruiters. We have compiled a list of resources to aid in the process.

Provide opportunities to develop business skills necessary for consulting with business skills sessions and an extended case study competition.

It is our duty to ensure the smooth running of the society and to address any concerns members may have! As a transparent, open and welcoming society we have provided our society constitution for your perusal.
